HUMI Holds IHT-VIBES#4 on ESG, Harmonizing Understanding and Preparing Employees for Implementation

Jakarta, June 13, 2025 – PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI) is committed to continuously raising awareness and implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices across all operational lines. As part of this commitment, a five-year ESG Roadmap has been established and internalized across all employees through IHT-VIBES#4, themed “ESG 101 & Deep Dive into HUMI’s ESG Roadmap,” held in Jakarta (June 13). This training aims to equip employees with a deep understanding of ESG principles and how they are integrated into HUMI’s business operations.

The activity, divided into two strategic sessions, featured Maria R. Nindita Radyati from the Institute for Sustainability and Agility, who has assisted in the development of HUMI’s ESG Roadmap since August 2024. Her expertise and experience in sustainability and ESG provided significant added value, ensuring that the material delivered was both relevant and applicable.

HUMI President Director Tirta Hidayat explained, “The company has long carried out compliance and environmental care practices, but they have not been well documented. With the roadmap in place and explained through this training, we want employees to better understand ESG, because achieving sustainability goals requires support from employees working in the same direction.”

“This training is an essential part of HUMI’s commitment to integrating ESG principles into every aspect of the business. We believe that by increasing employees’ understanding and capacity regarding ESG, we can achieve our sustainability goals and create long-term value for stakeholders,” Tirta added.

The first session, titled “Environmental, Social Governance 101,” was attended by all HUMI employees and subsidiaries to provide a basic yet comprehensive understanding of ESG concepts. This session covered the main ESG pillars, the benefits of ESG implementation for business sustainability, and its relevance within the maritime industry context. It also served as a platform for introducing HUMI’s ESG Roadmap, which has been developed by the ESG Task Force Team since August 2024. With a shared understanding, it is expected that existing initiatives can be more easily executed by all employees.

The second session was specifically held for the HUMI ESG Task Force Team under the topic “Deep Dive into HUMI’s ESG Roadmap,” discussing in detail the strategies, targets, and concrete actions the company will take to implement the roadmap. The Task Force Team was provided with more in-depth information to ensure effective and measurable ESG program implementation. This training also served as a forum for disseminating reports, indicators, and targets to be achieved by each subsidiary.

Through initiatives like IHT-VIBES#4, HUMI demonstrates its strong commitment to promoting responsible and sustainable business practices, in line with its vision to become a leader in Indonesia’s maritime industry.
