This vessel boasts an ideal tank capacity of 50,322.80 cubic meters and a deadweight (DWT) of 34,995. With these specifications, the MT Marlin 88 is optimized for transporting clean oil products, including various cargo types such as Pertalite, Pertadex, Dexlite, Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Kerosene (Kero), Solar, Biosolar, Intermedia, HOMC, Naphtha, Light Naphtha, and Fame.

Supporting Stable Oil Distribution

As part of HUMI’s commitment to supporting national energy security, this tanker is designed to meet stringent safety and environmental standards. This ensures the quality of transported cargo and guarantees safer, more timely deliveries to various regions across Indonesia.

“We are continuously striving to enhance our operational capabilities, particularly in supporting Indonesia’s energy logistics needs. With this fleet expansion, we are optimistic that we can further contribute to ensuring more reliable and timely distribution of fuel oil,” stated Tirta Hidayat, President Director of PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk.

One of the key advantages of the MT Marlin 88 is its cargo heating feature, which allows the vessel to transport not only clean products but also crude oil or black oil. This capability provides the MT Marlin 88 with flexibility for various transportation needs and the potential to be utilized as a Floating Storage Onboard (FSO) in the future. This aligns with HUMI’s strategy to enhance fleet value and expand its service coverage in the energy industry.

With this latest addition, HUMI now owns 10 Oil Tankers, with an average age of 23 years.

“The average age of HUMI’s oil tankers is categorized as medium, but the most important concern is the quality of vessel operations, through a strictly monitored Planned Maintenance System executed in accordance with regulations to remain competitive,” Tirta added.

HUMI’s existing fleet of Oil Tankers includes the MT Griya Cirebon, MT Griya Jawa, MT Griya Enim, MT Griya Ambon, MT Semar 77, MT New Stella, MT Mutiara Global, MT Griya Ternate, and MT Anargya I.

In line with HUMI’s sustainability commitment, technology is currently being developed for monitoring vessel operations to improve fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. This aligns with the company’s efforts to support the shipping sector’s decarbonization program.

With this fleet expansion, HUMI further strengthens its role as a strategic partner in the shipping industry and energy logistics. Moving forward, HUMI will continue to develop its services and capabilities to support the growth of the national shipping industry.
